I've deleted and restored this blog about a dozen times in the last few months. I haven't posted anything in forever, so keeping it live seemed silly, but I just couldn't seem to let it go. Turns out, keeping it around is going to be a good thing.
We've decided that on or before January 1, 2015, we're going to sell our house, buy an RV, and travel the world...truly make our world Planet Pawlowski. I was thinking to myself, "I should really blog about how we're preparing for this big life change. I wonder where I would blog about that....Oh yeah! I have a blog!"
This idea is in it's infancy, although it's something we've jokingly tossed back and forth for as long as I can remember. Lucky you, you get to take the journey from "house stuffed to the gills with junk and debts to pay" to "everything we own fits in an RV and freedom to see the world!"
Where are we now? Well, our youngest child, Aidan Patrick, was born on May 26, 2010, at 9lbs 4oz and 20 inches. He's now 15 months old and is displaying the family trait toward stubbornness with his absolute refusal to walk. Liam is 5.5 and is one big ball of energy. He loves planting seeds, snuggling with his dad, and helping Grandpa tinker around the yard. Ava and Genevieve are 8 years old...I can hardly believe it. I feel like I hardly see them anymore, since they want to spend all their time with their friends! They love art, music, and movies.
We are still homeschooling/unschooling. In the last year, the girls have learned to read, which has been a fascinating journey to watch and participate in.
Everything in our life, our love of travel, homeschooling, and Patrick's work-at-home status, has come together to point us toward this next adventure. And as ready as I am to just get on the road, I'm looking at this, the preparation, as an adventure as well.

We like the compass as a family image or logo. To us it represents many things on many levels, but foremost adventure and direction. A compass can help you get where you are going or find your way back home. It can also help you figure out where you are.

Very cool. I read a blog by some people that are doing that. It sounds like fun. Good luck on getting it to all come together.

Thanks, Heather. We're all really excited about it.
